Greetings to Kipper, Matilda and all dog lovers,
I was very taken by the rescue stories of these three dogs who are both new to DP.
Kipper, a 5 year old Black Lab/ Spaniel mix. What a doll. Looks like a small lab with long curly spaniel ears..and he runs like the wind. His new humans found him on Craigs List. Kipper had been brought to a doggie day care and left there. His former "humans" gave false information: phone, address, names, etc. So the nice lady who ran the dog day care placed and ad on Craigies.
This young couple went to see him and fell in love...thank God for such good people and remember that dog spelled backwards is GOD.
Onto Matilda's story..she is a cutie. A 4 month old pit terrier pup who was rescued from gangbangers over in Logan Square. Her new owner saw this gang of bangers holding her. Supposedly, I sure wouldn't do this, he went up to the bangers and just took the pup away. He knew that she was dog fighting fodder. What a doll she is. She looks like a petite, Target dog. Her right eye has a black patch over it...(she is mostly white). Her left eye looks like someone made her up to look like an Egyptian eye make up thing. On her white back, she has two black one inch sized, perfectly shaped polka dots. And, she has such a fun personality and likes to wrestle alot with dogs her own size. No doubt she was saved from dog a vicious dog fighting pit.
Her human says he has saved other dogs the same way. Cajones of steel...like Kathy Griffin.
And. last but not least is Chloe. A pure bred French bull dog pup 7 or 8 months old who showed up at dog park for the first time yesterday. Her initial visit went swimmingly and she and her humans had a great time. A friend of a friend had purchase Chloe from a breeder thinkings she and their German Sheperd would get along....NOT. So, they placed an ad. Many people applied,
and they were strange or weird one way or another. Her now humans came in and usually unfriendly Chloe climbed right into the lap of her new dad, immediately. Love at first sight. The dad never had a dog as a child, but dogs know that he is one of the dog whisperers, because the doggies always come to him, even those that are skittish or afraid. Either you got it or you don't, but you can't BS a dog. As my dear friend, Franz Kafka said, "All wisdom and knowledge resides in dogs". Then why did he morph into a ...what was it a fly, coch roach or something cooty like in nature? This is a grand philosophical question of today.
Think... Why can't humans be more like dogs??? Discuss among yourselves. Especially the humans to Violet and Goose and Burly. I just correctly spelled Burly's name. Got it right, no "E".
Got to run to get to dp so me and my Jordan can get our daily dose.
That's all she wrote. Roe
