CRACK GOES THE BENCH,,,

Hello,

The other day, a number of Usual Suspects' butts were sitting on the back of the sun drenched bench, a cracking sound was heard by all. Crrraack.. then the back of the bench collapsed. Fortunately, all the bench back sitters were fine and their were no injuries, other than, perhaps, egos...so all was well. Then the Human to Liza appeared stating that he had contacted the park district about the about to crunch bench several days prior. That assauged nurmerous potential hurt feelings. Such is life.

I was speaking to Bo-Bo's human who when I said that the blog needed conflict to keep it interesting. He thought this unnecessary. But, personally, if I just wrote goodie, goodie, it would be fairly boring. So, just to keep all the humans' juices flowing, I will write about a conflict that I had heard about.

Several weeks ago, some of morning dogs and humans were hanging at the park. One of the Usuals who does doggie doo-doo pick up daily, saw a regular human's dog do a doo-doo. The human just kept doing her cross-word puzzle, oblivious to the recently deposited dog log. So, the doo cleaner stated aggressively to the oblivious human to pick up after her dog...some kind of tri-colored cutie. The cutie's human went basically ballistic. A great foul-mouthed shouting match occurred. Many expletives and insults were exchanged and then everyone went back to their respective corners. It is surprising because this was not even a weekend when people seem to think that picking up the doo is optional. The park is a microcosm and all the unconscious conflicts and people will show up. As I have said before, the dogs are much more honest about their hostilies, usually. But this shouting match seems to have topped the hostilty honesty scale. Two immutable forces collided...and it was fodder for several weeks or repetition and giggles on the various benches of dp.

Met a new usual suspect...her two canines are : Colby Jack, a pure bred spaniel or pointer...I can't remember which and his rescue sis named Maggie. Maggie is a mix of grand pyranees, lab,
sheperd and husky. Very pretty girl she is. The human to these sweet doggies is an East Coast transplant. She was quite surprised to hear people talking about Block Island (in Narragansett Bay...off Rhode Island) and started talking. She met several people who lived in her home state of Conn. She joined the suspects. Rob..human to Bo-Bo suggested that that was a dubious honor. I can understand that. However, I think also, that US(usual suspects) provide a fun and supportive group to those who seem to like it.

Also, met an interesting person who usually is a morning person at park. This person from a European country, a photographer is doing a photo show and lectures about the culture of mayhem and how it effects individuals. Velly interesting.... to be continued.

So, back to the conflict concept: the only conflict at dog park of late, was 4 butts and a bench...and all is well.

That's all she wrote.
