OPY TAYLOR TALKS TO THE HAND
What does that mean? I haven't a clue, but it was a good story. In fact, one of the humans from dog park told a story of being in McDonalds on North Ave recently when a bru-ha-ha ensured. It appears that the McDees was busy. A woman who was seated at a table wanted it cleaned immediately and began screaming obscenities at the staff. She was rather disgruntled (I like that word, disgruntled...was she un-grunting)? A senior citizen complete with cane of 75+ years said to the disgruntlee that she was being a bit disrespectful (boy, he was polite). In fact, disgruntlee was screaming unprintable expletives throughout the fast food emporium. Opy Taylor, went to the aid of the older gentleman. He approached said, disgruntled woman and asked her if she wanted to go to jail? She replied with louder and more colorful assortment of swearing. Said she, "Listen Opy Taylor, you shut up, you little mf, mf, mf, mf-er". Opy was not upset. He quietly walked out of Mickey's where a Chicago Police car sat nearby with two officers sitting inside. Opy told of the events and the out of control woman. Opy talked not only to the hand, but also, to the authorities. She was taken away, I hope she was taken to a hospital. No one who is well will take on Opy Taylor. This story has been abridged for publication. I learned the word, "Bawdlerized" in Lit. in college. It is a Victorian method for cleaning up a book. The Tales of Opy to be continued.
Dogs Du Jour: First we have a new pup: Eloise. She is a very small 9 week old French Bull dog pup. Kind of black brindl with a mischievous nature. She is quite a charmer and people were oohing and aahing over her. Another pup to be embraced is Baxter. Baxter's human described him as a "dust mop" looking dog. He does look like that...very fluffy and a tad stringy. He is a 9 month old mini-golden-doodle. He runs in circles and likes to mix it up.
Roxy. I have written about her before. She is a beautiful mystery mix and a beautiful mystery, in fact. Roxy looks like a fox and runs like the wind. She was leading the race around dog park on Tuesday or Wednesday. She ran and ran and ran....like the wind. Everyone was staring at her if their eyes could keep up with her. It was a though she were a fox and outrunning all of the hounds. When she runs, she does the double suspension thing. That is when her legs are extended, they are all airborne. When her legs are pulled under her, they are all off the ground. We do not know what breeds she leads. I swear she is part fox. She has a pink nose which, I am told is typical of (I can't spell) Shibu-Inu's. That is a phonetic guess, only. That lady at McDonald's shouldn't have taken on Opy and if Roxy had been there, she would have stolen the show from everyone...hand or not. Foxy-Roxy is ever engaging and every time I see her, I love her more. Check her out. She comes with a dog walker named Melissa who is there from around 11 AM to 1PM-ish.
As I walked into dp the other day, I thought, where did summer go. I was cold and did not have a sweater or jacket. All on the sunny bench (it was cold, after all), agreed that summer vanished presto. Ollie and Aengus's mom, ever optimistic, thought that summer will return, at least a day or two, here and there. I hope so. Successful life in this city requires a winter getaway to somewhere warm. I am already plotting my escape.
Of Tails and Commodities...I have it on reliable info from a number of people in the financial markets to get out of stock and into commodities, especially, silver. Just thought sharing that might give people food for financial thought. But, please, no guarantees or responsibility here. I read an article that as a country, we need to shape up and get a more positive attitude. So, I am spreading sunshine and hope. There will always be a dog park.
That's all she wrote. Roe
