Hello Devotees,
Another day, another dog. This dog is very special. Her name is FATE. Fate, a pit bull mix found her human one day when the human was walking home from Wriggly Field. The human saw a cute pit brown and white with a mischievous nature and no other humans around. He chased the dog, later to be known as, FATE. Fate chased and was finally apprehended by a human who looked for her tags...there were none. Neither was there a micro-chip or collar. The human was not in the market for a dog, so he thought he would just foster this pit and put up signs. Surely this was someone's pet. She was housebroken and displayed a good disposition. So the human put up signs in the neighborhood and waited. And, then he waited and waited some more. Clearly, he was not going to just foster this Dog Du Jour, he was now the human to FATE. And, Fate rescued him. And, so it goes....
I saw Carolina's human seem to go out of his way to aggravate all of the dogs near the park fence. The human seemed to get a kick out of stirring up the dogs into a frenzy. This human then just walked away. All of the dogs were worked up and confused. Soon, however, the pack's nervous energy slowly decompressed. It is unfortunate that humans sometimes use animals to vent their frustrations which the humans carry internally. Anyway, the dogs do seem to know and return to their innate calmer nature. They sense danger and anxiety and being like sponges, they absorb it. It works the same with people who are objects of absorption of emotions in their families or social group. They develop symptoms and then come to see me. Sometimes it seems to me that the entire universe is like a sunspot going off, everything just radiating from the center of the universe outward. I think I will ask Stephen Hawkings. He is getting bad press these days. Tough time in Jolly Old England for the bad lad. I wonder if he has a dog? It was be good for him. He has children. I wonder how that happened? Well, I don't wonder that much.
Fall is decidedly in the air. Cool and I did not have a jacket or sweater. In fact, mostly everyone was still dapper in their summer wear. Rosy the Berner was not a happy camper the other day when it was hot. She just huffed and puffed and laid down in the shade. Why the hell not? It's a dog's life.
I like holiday weekends in the city. You can get into anything without waiting and no hassles, easy parking. What's not to like?
I am watching "Locked Up Abroad" and someone is about to get caught smuggling drugs into or out of Venezuela. From a 4 star hotel to a prison. Doesn't sound like a plan to me.
I have a patient who, when she goes out puts her new Doberman rescue dog in a crate, but puts on opera music so he can hear voices. I usually just do the TV. What things do you do for your dog?
That's all she wrote. Roe
