Hello,
Kahlua and Cream...add a shot of vodka and that is a White Russian... WR was the favorite drink of the official Dude, El Duderino, His Dudeness, The Duder...whatever. I think The Dude's attitude is alive and well and dp. I think the Dude would fit in just swell. Wouldn't it be great to name a dog, "Dude". Everytime you called his name many heads would turn. Just a thought.
Kahlua is the spitting image of BoBo. BoBo and Kahlua were hanging at the pool in dp today. Kahlua, another pretty husky, was having his way with Murphy the Golden today. There was a fair amount of barking and Angus, of course, would not give up the toy.
I've heard that a friend of a friend of one of the Humans made a pass at 4:30 AM last Saturday morning. Well, he was in for a surprise because the lady, or lady of the night, or in this case the man/woman of the night; The lady in question was a question of a lady??? The dude was shocked and freaked out. But, when you hit on a lady at 4:30 in the morning on a Chicago street, WTF do you expect? Moral of the story is you can't judge a book by its cover, these days, anyway.
There was another doggie today who I promised to write about. My mind is getting like a sieve because I recall wanting to write about this special pooch, and cannot think of any of it. But the dog in question was a rescue from Paws. Cute little thing that I cannot pull up to my mind's eye. I am having writer's block or at least momentary pup block. It will come back to me.
The recession is slogging on, but people are dealing with it. I have heard of dog walking Census Takers. I have heard of Traders' Gone Wild tapes...(do they still make tapes???)
Word has it from Bill, Human to Liza (say Lie-zah) informed us that the park expansion is under
at the hands of an architect. It will take probably at least through the summer. But, since this is a beauracratic thing, who knows.
Back to Bill and Liza (Lie-zah) could be an interspecies Henry Higgins and Liza Doolittle. Liza is an Airdale cutie of about 4 years old. She is a bit of a princess and is in need, I am told, of a good hair conditioner due to an unfortunate case of split ends. I have heard that split ends is sufficient reason to break up with a girl. This from the perenniel bachelor...for whom anyone with a condition more serious than a hang nail, is sufficient to run from. Ah....to be single again. Or at least on the market.
I am told, also, that some people who live in Lincoln Park find that anything further than a short cab ride is a geographically challenged person. I think our society has gotten rather elite. I am always amazed when I am at the airport and someone is complaining about being delayed an hour. I think...wow, let's try this in a Canestoga Wagon. I once sat next to a man on a flight to or from somewhere told me about his grandmother. His family was in Portland, Oregon. His grandmother had arrived in Oregon over the Oregon Trail and in 1887. She lived long enough to take a jet (707) from Portland to NYC in a 6 hour flight. Her trip over the Oregon Trail took 9 months. So, when you feel like complaining...get a grip.
That's all she wrote. Roe
