LAIKA, BOCEFIO AND OTIS'S AMORE

Hi Folks,

Well, here we are into June. Despite my comments that I thought new puppy season had drawn to a close, today we met Laika. She is a 4 month old, gorgeous chocolate brown Portugese Water dog pup. What a cuddly cutie she is. She came from a breeder down in Southern Illinois somewhere and was the runt of the litter and the only brown dog in it. She was born the same day that her human's previous Porty went to the Rainbow Bridge. It was kharma: things are meant, there are signs, the heart knows, there is a way. Actually, that last part is a prayer either created by or passed on by a Catholic priest at Notre Dame. Laika's interesting name is of historical nature. Do you know where it came from? At the end of today's blog I will post the
origin of the name. Laika has a brother named Bocefio (the spelling is almost beyond me). Bo is a Havanese 9 year old boy who was rescued from ...I can't remember where. But a rescue nonetheless. And the origin of the name Bocefio??? Bocefio is the South is a synonym for stupid or flaky or something like that. Bo's human told us that today.

Otis has a new amore who wanted to do PDA at dog park. Well, Otis being a very discreet Golden Retriever boy who is splendidly blonde with white-ish hair of pantolunes and very long and sexy chest hair. All things being equal is that Otis displayed great judgement. Besides which he was just having too much fun with the other dogs to be bothered with humans. Smart dog.

Letting go is a splendid thing to do in life....they tell us when we are children:

"Roe, Roe, Roe your boat (they named it after me), gently down the stream (not onerously up the stream), merrily, merrily, merrily (it is just an illusion, anyway), life is but a dream. So and expression I first learned and leaned on when I moved to the Midwest: "Not to worry".

That's all she wrote. Roe
